When someone says they love someone or something, it’s usually a very deep feeling. Not everyone says the phrase “I love you” just to anyone, its most likely something different. Many people have different meanings of what love is and many also interpret it different from others. Love is a way of feeling; it’s a sensation you get when you’re unconditionally happy.
Lana Del Rey once said, “When someone else’s happiness is your happiness, that is love.” But love isn’t always involved with relationships; it’s also in friendships and in family. In my opinion the greatest love there is, is the love that your family gives you. In my case of not having my family here in Monterrey is tough, but when I get to see them they show me the most love a person can receive. Not one person in the world should live without love; sometimes it’s the only thing we truly need to look at life positively. People need affection as well.
The majority of movies fall under the genre of Romantic and people usually go for these types of movies. They are the foundation of teenager obsessions, crying over celebrities, and leaving the theater with our eyes wet from tears. The movies make us believe that love is something so perfect and there are no rough patches throughout the way. I’m not being negative but its not a correct representation of what love truly is. Love is something more powerful and when you deal with love for the first time, its incredible. Love does, although, have problems and its part of life. There is confusion, jealousy, betrayal, and many more factors, but at the end you realize that everything what worth it.
In my opinion many teenagers nowadays are only concentrated in finding their ‘soul mate’ and that’s not the way it should be. Love is something very serious and teenagers at times don’t understand that it takes a lot of oneself to commit to it. Relationships at one time were like buying a toy and not wanting it anymore after a week with it. That’s truly sad. People are not to be used for anyone’s pleasure or their own convenience ever! But now relationships are starting to look stronger with the maturing and the people involved seem to take it seriously.
