Savour the journey.
The 2019 Subaru Outback is the mid-size SUV alternative designed to help you get more
enjoyment out of life’s authentic adventures, both big and small. The Subaru Symmetrical
Full-Time AWD system is complemented by X-MODE, generous ground clearance and a
long-travel suspension system for rugged capability over the toughest terrain. The Outback
also features impressive refinement on the inside, incredible utility, generous passenger
space and dynamite infotainment systems to make even the most adventurous drive feel
unexpectedly civilized.
Ring-shaped Reinforcement Frame
The Ring-shaped Reinforcement Frame strengthens the passenger cabin
from the roof to the doors, pillars and floor. This design helps to divert
and dissipate impact energy away from the occupants in a collision. It
also contributes to strengthening and lightening the chassis, leading to
greater, reinforced protection.
Seats, Seatbelts and Airbags
The Outback features front airbags, front-side airbags, side-curtain
airbags and front-seat cushion airbags. Height adjustable front
seatbelts feature pretensioners to hold passengers firmly in place
and load limiters that ease peak forces to the chest.
EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology
Subaru’s award-winning technology utilizes two cameras mounted over the
rearview mirror to detect objects on the road ahead and monitor driver actions.
In potentially hazardous situations, the system initiates measures to reduce the
severity of a collision or avoid it entirely, helping ensure passenger safety.
Four distinct features are informed by the EyeSight® system including Adaptive
Cruise Control, Pre-collision Braking, Pre-collision Throttle Management, and
Lane Departure and Sway Warning with Lane Keep Assist.
Luggage-and-Seat Configurations
With so much space and flexibility, you can really think big: 1,005 litres of
cargo capacity (2,075 litres with seats folded) and a flat load floor create
incredible cargo capacity. You can change the seating configuration in an
instant, thanks to the 60/40-split flat-folding rear seats that allow you to
haul passengers and large items.
Roof Rails with Swing-in-Place Crossbars
Sturdy roof rails make hauling extra items a snap. You’ll find the Outback
has a lot of ways to get the job done. (Standard on all models except Premier)
