Back in the city, we will
host a big-time music event
at Lansdowne Park called
“YOWttawa” with bands from
outside Canada helping us
to celebrate this momentous
anniversary. The August concert
series will also feature Canadian,
First Nations and international acts
such as the legendary American
rock band Guns N’ Roses.
We will also have 20 major
sporting events over the year
from the Canadian Track and
Field Championship to the
Canadian Whitewater Canoe
and Kayak Championship, to the
Grey Cup in November and the
NHL Heritage Classic Game at
Lansdowne Park in December
between the Ottawa Senators
and rival Montreal Canadiens.
In addition, Ottawa 2017
will feature 14 arts, culture
and heritage creations. Outside
