PGA TOUR PLAYER
EXPERIENCE
Golf offers that rare sporting occasion for amateurs,
slicers and hackers in that they can tackle the same
challenges as the professionals. With the PGA Tour
Player Experience at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, golfers
do more than just play the same course, they get to live
the pro-style life, too. Players receive a personalized
plate and desk inside the tour locker room, as well as
a personal caddie, and an official tournament yardage
book—all you have to do is worry about hitting the
shot. The Stadium Course is famous for its 17th
“Island Green,” a short par-3 completely surrounded
by water that, on tournament days, brings some
of the world’s best golfers to their knees. As part
of the Experience, you also receive a commemorative,
framed photo capturing your time on the 17th green.

Imagine having Robbie Alomar, the hall of fame Toronto Blue
Jays second baseman, as your manager. Or Pat Hentgen, former
MLB Cy Young winner, as your pitching coach. Both are possible at
the Alomar Sports Fantasy Baseball Camp, a one-week taste of what
it feels like to be a major leaguer. The camp takes place in Dunedin,
the spring training home of the Toronto Blue Jays. Fantasy players
are split into teams, with each team managed and coached by at least
two former Blue Jays. You’ll practice like a pro and play like one,
too, complete with umpires, ball and bat boys, and a training staff
at your disposal—just like Donaldson, Bautista and Tulowitzki! The
camp takes place in December and if you want to bring along the
family, the organizers will help you sort out accommodations, book
tee times and snag passes to Walt Disney World.
