The module Tec 21, came about due to the changes in the real word with respect to: the development of new technologies, team work, and leadership. Therefore, the new model was created, focused on personal and professional growth. The students will learn to coexist, innovate, be leaders, confront complexity, as well as develop skills of self-knowledge, ethical and civil commitment, communication, digital transformation, through real life challenges along the semesters.
The new classes are carried out, half in a digital classroom and the other half takes place outdoors or innovative spaces. It consists of three stages: exploration (where students will experiment different disciplines of the selected area to enlarge interests to see if that’s what you really want to study), focus (students will overcome specific challenges in the selected career), specialization (here students will develop skills specifically from their area). This will take place in 18 weeks, divided in 5 blocks, in which students will overcome challenges, there are two “week tec” (which will focus in a defiant activity) and one “week 18” which is the final.

The new classroom building is located on the first floor of Aulas 2, it consists of areas made for collaboration and teamwork, that can also be used for individual study. There are also special places for tutoring, areas to work in silence for better concentration. There are two kinds of classrooms, one consists of a more opened space that can be seen and heard by the people passing by, the second consists of a more common classroom, it has the board at the front of the class but the wall towards the hall is made of glass. The classes have hanging plugs, televisions, movable chairs and larger desks.
Three different students were asked what is their perception of the new classrooms. They all said that what they liked about the new installations was the style and decoration. Most agreed that what could be improved was the size of the classrooms, as this could cause problems to the people sitting in the back when listening to the teacher and looking at the board. When asked about technology they said it was very equipped, they include computers, projectors, etc., the only thing that could be improved technology wise is to install more plugs.
