The annual Awards Evenings perfectly capture and acknowledge the unique partnership between students , parents and teachers that underpins the success of students and makes Sir John Deane ’ s so special . We celebrate academic excellence , musical , theatrical and artistic beauty , impressive sporting prowess and the bold resilience of individuals . In a tradition going back more than a century , the Saner Prize is presented to the Student of the Year for all round academic excellence and contribution to college life .
