AUTUMN COURSES 2019 AUTUMN COURSES 2019 Detailed information sheets on all courses are available on our website or on request Detailed information sheets on all courses are available on our website or on request LANGUAGE COURSES COMPUTING COURSES Year 1 Courses These courses are designed for absolute beginners and will cover a range of topics such as eating out, arranging accommodation, shopping and talking about yourself. The emphasis is on speaking and listening in the lessons, together with discovering the culture behind the language. Topics about life in today's modern European countries will be included. Year 2 Courses Go a step further and find out how to hold a conversation in the foreign language on this course which will cover the basics of grammar as well as conversation. These courses are designed to build on the knowledge acquired on a year 1 course or its equivalent. Year 3 Courses These courses are designed to build on the knowledge acquired on a year 2 course or its equivalent and allow you to develop a good level of fluency, enabling you to converse about a wide range of cultural topics. Year 4 Courses These courses will continue to develop and build your vocabulary and fluency. There will be plenty of opportunity to practice your verbal skills and expand your understanding of the use of language. Intermediate & Advanced Courses These courses are particularly aimed at students who have studied the language for 4 years or more or who have already obtained a qualification such as a GCSE in the recent past. Students will continue to practice their spoken skills and work on increasing their vocabulary. This course will include discussions on a range of topics such as cultural and current issues.
