Introduction
The STYC 2018 Toolkit serves to bridge the knowledge gap that
might be present amongst the delegates. The toolkit will consist
of content from Focus Group Discussions as well as background
research performed by the STYC Academic directorate. The Focus
Group Discussions serve to consolidate different perspectives of
stakeholders or experts involved and at the same time to
structure the Problem Statements for the conference.
The Toolkit will provide the knowledge needed for the delegates
to discuss and come up with recommendations for these issues.
It will also contain the opinions of experts who have experience
in the domain. The toolkit will be a concise yet thorough
document containing information about the Singapore Tamil
community.
The Academics directorate has been selected to craft the write-
ups for the 4 issues being discussed in the conference. They will
collate statistics and opinions of experts relevant to the issue and
present them in a digestible manner.
The Academic Panellists serve as mentors and advisors for the
Academic directorate providing invaluable guidance in shaping
