Recommendation 5: National Volunteer Portal Creation
• Create a portal/website for all organisations to put details of their community projects.
• There can be various positions such as one-off volunteers, long-term volunteers and
interns who can contribute positively to these community projects.
• Consider flexible hours for volunteer work as much as possible to attract youths to
participate.
Recommendation 6: Creation of Viral Videos on Social Media
• Examples of viral videos for a social cause will include the Ice Bucket Challenge. Some
youths felt that this challenge was a good way for them to read up on Amyotrophic
Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
• The youths suggested that schools can look into producing one viral video a year to
educate the students about the different beneficiaries and raise more awareness about
the challenges these beneficiaries face.
