Singapore Guidebook would not have been possible without our amazing, highly creative team. All of us work hard every
day in order to achieve our mission, which is to let travellers to Singapore understand that there is so much more to explore
across the island, so that every visit has a sense of adventure. Here, we asked our team about which article they liked most
from this issue and why.

“I am very happy to be
the part of the first issue
of Singapore Guidebook.
Hard work and loyalty
helped me to contribute
to this edition. There are
many new things that I
learned about Singapore,
especially about art and
culture. My favourite
article is about Peranakan
culture. Good things will
always come out of effort
and hard work, that’s the
message I learned from
the Peranakan cultural
heritage. The article about
The Southern Islands and
some recommendations
about modern mosques
in Singapore are also my
favourites. Indeed, I fell in
love with Singapore! Feel

“Personally, I like “The
Southern Islands” article,
because I think it contains
a very useful information,
especially when most
tourists think that
Singapore is only known
for the attractions located
on the main island.
However, Singapore has
so much more to offer. I
especially like that this
article provides not only
facts, but also tips and
tricks about visiting this
off-the-beaten-path place.
Reading this article makes
me want to go visit this
place right away!”
“Actually, I was a little
bit confused when I
was asked to choose
my favourite article in
SGB September edition,
because all of the articles
are very interesting,
especially the one about
hawker centres in SG.
As a food lover, I am
always keen to try all kind
of foods and prefer low-
budget and reasonably
priced options. This is why
this article is very useful
to me, I cannot wait to
try all the hawker centres
and food stalls mentioned
there!”.
“There are many articles
that I like from this issue.
Actually, I cannot choose
only one favorite article,
so I will choose my top
three. The first one is
“Bicara Singlish Lah”
because I really love
learning new languages.
I found lots of new words
that I have not heard of
before and some similar
slang words that are
actually used in Indonesia,
too. Secondly, I really like
the article about hawker
centres because I also
love food. The last one is
“Sudut Menawan di Timur
Singapura, Joo Chiat dan
Katong”. This article suits
the current hype on social
media, about the colorful
houses on Koon Seng
Road where many people
like to take pictures. I
enjoyed reading all of the
articles, though!”
