Editors' Note Perhaps the best part of being editors for Sin Fronteras is observing the different facets of writers who are both experienced and emerging. One thing shared by all of the writers is enveloping oneself in writing, and creating a space in which one can be experimental, brave, and unapologetic. These pieces teach new lessons, which apply not only to the writers, but also to the readers of this issue. Creating this space is incredibly cathartic, and the addictive part of this process is discovering new emotions and sides of oneself that would have remained unknown, had they had not been written out by one's own hand to stand revealed and unafraid in front of one's own eyes. The diverse pieces in this issue express humanity and emotion that have emerged from this process of growing through each written word. Each piece reflects the beautiful struggle that comes from writing something with personal value. Writing is a vital form of expression. It is left behind for others to use as shelter and inspiration when they are feeling lost on their own journeys. It provides each of us with a compass to find our own paths, and the secure feeling that we are not alone. Teresa Lee Oh Daniela Sandoval Montes Editors-in-Chief v
