Love Wanted
Andrea Muñóz
I wait for him patiently each morning.
Ten milliliters of pure love; the type of love each girl dreams of, but only a
few get.
Lucky me.
I got it.
He is exactly what I want him to be.
My hero.
The color of my blood,
The cure of my pain.
My only desire; the only thing I wish I could touch.
The one substance you never hear about.
I fell for him on the first try.
The sweet floral smell,
As I push down on the plunger,
Forcing him into my veins, into my body:
The adventure begins.
His gentle touch reaches each part of me.
I can feel it crawling up my arms and making its way through my body.
Tiny red drops fall from my arm, it is pure art,
Red and seductive,
The color of love,

Passion and desire.
His mellow touch brushing the textures.
Always different, always the same.Contemporary, nevertheless aged.
Scratching my soul, begging for more.
My heartbeat grows louder and stronger each time
AI release a sigh of excitement climbsclimbing up my neck,
Reaching my ear, whispering, “Relax, I’m here and I love you.”
Three words nobody’s told me before.
The sound, like a perfect harmony, pure happiness.
Three words that might never come easy,
but I know, to him I am more than they ever could be.
With time his touch fades.
Affection that can still manage to hurt me,
Whispering back at me, “You do not know me, nor will you ever.”
In a blur he is gone.
His shadow disappears with the sunset
The yellow sky and his breath vanish away.
Without hesitating I’m sure,
I’m going to marry what destroys me.
I’m going to marry my illusion.
