Our Name “Ladies of Umoja means “unity” and our soul purpose is to empower woman and give them an opportunity to embrace sisterhood while, spreading collective energy inside our communities. We give to our communities by helping to address
address the needs and concerns of troubled youth, battered and abused woman, the homeless and addicts. We hold events that will help and serve our communities as well as educate our selves.
We come together once a month to re-connect and support one another by volunteering and organizing fundraisers. We also have events that we plan as well as a social group.
Membership is by word of mouth from the group. We open and welcome our group to many other women of all ethnicities, beliefs, faiths and creeds.
As the Administrative Director of Ladies of Umoja, Adrienne Strachn, I look forward to the Future of Ladies of Umoja and many other groups that will form under us.
