The seasons are changing and so must your way of cooking. It's time for some nice hot meals to keep your warm and toasty throughout the day. Here is a great soup that can do just that for you or your family. That won't cost you alot of money or time.

Garden Minestrone

Ingredients:

- 1 lb. extra lean ground beef (9% fat) or ground turkey (7% fat)

- 6 cups beef broth, fat reduced

- 2 cups chopped cabbage

- 1 can (16oz.) diced tomatoes, not drained

- 1 can (16oz.) green beans, not drained

- 1 cup sliced carrots

- 1 cup sliced zucchini

- 1 cup dry elbow macaroni

- 2 tbl. dried chopped onion

- 2 tbl. dried parsely

- 1 tbl. chopped garlic

- 1 tsp. dried basil

- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano

- 1/2 tsp. pepper

Instructions:

-Brown meat in a 4-quart kettle that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.

- Add remaining ingredients and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 20 minutes.

This recipe yields: (9) servings

One serving: (1 1/2) cups

Per Serving: (302) Calories, (29) grams, (24) grams protein, (10) grams of fat
