Hunter had no father figure in his life to support him or encourage him in any future he might have dreams of achieving. Paul began looking at his family history concerning education and having made the choice to not receive his mother’s words spoken over him, he used those negative words to drive his passion to be the first in his family to graduate college. Paul Hunter is the first to have graduated from college with a Bachelor of Science 84 www.simplyelevate.com Degree from Upper Iowa University. He says, “I was counted out but, I counted myself in.” Additionally he received influence from many areas of his life but the major influence in his life was the local church as well as following pastors from across the United States. Paul, has released his book “No Love, No Charity: the Success of the 19th Child”. An “at-risk” student is generally described as one who, by virtue of his or her circumstances, is statistically more likely than others to fail academically.
