Interview with Dr. Julia Charles

Dr. Julia Charles was in foster care
for about 10 years. She had tried
living in more than a dozen foster
homes and group homes. She did
something that most people would
never imagine… She finished
school. Not only has she finished
school, but Dr. Charles has earned
four degrees since leaving foster
care. She has a BA from Bennett
College, a MA from North Carolina
AT&T State University, a MA
from University of Massachusetts
Amherst, and also a PhD.
