the freedom to express herself in ways her words
never could through the art of dance. In her video,
Testing the Music, Esha tells us through text that
appears during her performance, “This is my language…This is how I speak.”
Later this month, Esha will embark on her very
first international trip. She will travel to Santiago
de Cuba along with renowned dancer Chuck Davis
and members of the African American Dance Ensemble. While in Cuban, she plans on learning the
unique dance styles of the Cubans. She explains
that, “Everyone has a different way of healing.” This is all part of her larger dream to travel
throughout the world studying and absorbing the
various dance styles of many cultures.
As her brand and vision grows, she strives to
continue educating herself and refining her skills
so that she can properly help those in need. The
ultimate goal she wishes to achieve is to become
an expressive arts therapist and “to heal & treat
mental illness and chronic pains through the art of
dance and movement.”
She’s recently started her own company titled
EART which is short for Expressive Arts. Including
dance, theatre, creative writing, fashion, vocal and
visual arts; EART will “promote mental wellness by
healing through the arts.” The mission is “Create.
Release.Heal” Esha’s long-term vision for EART is
to open up healing art studios on a national level.
These centers will promote healing by encouraging and channeling subconscious and spontaneous
abstract expression through personal creation.
Possessing a certainty of self and a confidence of
purpose that is a rare find, this ambitious artist is
