Angela Reign’s decision to pursue her
dream of singing about three years ago,
sent her life on a high-speed spiral that has
not slowed down since.
Angela started officially started
publically singing at the age of nine, when
she took part in her church’s adult choir
even as a small child. She went on to
be very active in musical theater during
her high school and college years. A
corporate career took precedent over her
dream and it wasn’t until several years
later that performing musically found its
way back into Angela’s life. Angela met
a guitar player in Nashville who asked her
to perform with him. “My husband, who
is also my manager, was a big influence
on me to follow my dream. He was my
biggest proponent, pushing me to go
for it.” In just three years, they quickly
evolved into a full five piece band that
travels and performs nationally.
It was instantly evident that
Angela was born to be on stage. “I live
to be on stage. The passion I feel for live
entertainment and live performance is
what drives me. I love interacting with
the audiences and getting an opportunity
to meet my fans in person, there’s nothing
like it. It’s an unparalleled experience.”
This passion for her music, her fans, and
performing gives her an unmistakable
quality. “How people know me is via
the energy I have. I move around a lot
on stage. People have called me the
Tasmanian Devil because I don’t stay put
in one place for very long.”
This captivating energy has catapulted
Angela into national success. One of her
most exciting ventures earlier this year
was having the honor of being a part of
fan entertainment during the NCAA Final
Four Championship game, where she performed
before the game. She also had the pleasure of
singing the National Anthem for the Division III
game. “It was a great opportunity to expand my
fans and my exposure to different audiences.”
Earlier this year Angela had a standing invitation
from the Professional Bull Riding Organization
to sing the National Anthem at any of their
bull riding events. She did this several times
in front of roughly 50,000 people each time.
“It’s crazy when you get out there in front of
all those people and you are about to sing one
the most amazing songs ever to represent our
country.” Angela also had the exciting chance
to sing “God Bless America” for her hometown
professional baseball team, the Cincinnati
Reds. Angela has opened for big names such as
Rodney Atkins and before Billy Currington at
the Atlanta Motor Speedway Nascar Race. Like
a true Tasmanian Devil, Angela notes, “This year
has been quite a whirlwind.”
In addition to performing, Angela spends time
writing and recording new music. She has
already released two CDs, Reckless Kind and
Livin’ In Between. She is currently hard at
work on developing a new CD, in the stages of
