In Love
The nectar of a flower
To say I love her each and every hour
For her essence gives me the power
To love and care for her.
I’m in love
I’m in love like a painter loves his brush
Stroking gently across the canvas
Creating visual masterpieces
That redefine beauty at each corner
Funny that our love mimics art
In that few could truly understand.
I’m in love
I’m in love like a child loves sweets
Indulging in her to the last piece
Or drop, yet I never want the moment to stop
When she cries, her tears become my candy rocks
Cracking and popping on my tongue the very source of her pain
I’m in love
I’m in love with her very soul
Climb onto the highest mountain
And shout her name to the heavens so
God’s blessings for her can be twofold.
Her love to me is more precious than diamonds and gold.
Yet irony sets in when we go through heated moments
Or being cut down in situations...because at the end
Our love becomes just as priceless.
I’m in love
Forever in love
Her lease in my heart is eternity
Living on burgundy street on the corner of Love and Affection.
My courage is her protection, and I’m blessed to be that selection.
No wonder my emotions flow through my expressions,
Ever since she left the faucet on.
I’m in love.
And it’s a beautiful feeling.
