Sarah Bennett has had a passion
for makeup artistry for years.
She recently became a licensed
esthetician and started SB Makeup
& Beauty. She currently resides
in Columbus, Ohio but is soon
relocating to Covington, LA. I sat
down with her to learn more about
her profession and to get a couple
makeup tips!
What is the best makeup tip you
would give to our readers?
Please tell us how you got started.
My passion began at a very young
age. My older sister and I would
do our own makeup and pretend
to be on TV. It then led to me
doing all my friends makeup for
homecoming and prom every year. I
love staying hip in the makeup and
fashion world, as there are always
new trends. I specialize in natural
makeup for modeling headshots.
Natural makeup will always be in
style and there are many different
ways to achieve that look. However,
I love doing all kinds of makeup
applications.
Did you go to school to become a
MUA?
Yes. I knew I wanted to do makeup,
but the most important thing about
great makeup, is having a good
skincare routine. To have beautiful
application you must have healthy
skin. I decided to go to school
for esthetics. I attended The Spa
School located in Columbus, Ohio.
I am now a licensed Managing
Esthetician.

If you could do the makeup for any
celebrity, who would it be?
If I could do makeup for any
celebrity it would be Sandra
Bullock. I have loved her ever
since I was 12 years old. I just love
everything about her as she is a
beautiful person inside and out.
She has great features, is a natural
beauty, and I would love to enhance
all those beautiful features.
Has your work been published in
any magazines before?
Yes, my work has been published
in the 614 Magazine which is the
second biggest magazine in Ohio.
I was selected to do a two page
editorial showcasing my makeup
skills.
There are several tips but one I
always get asked about is how
to hide dark circles. People think
buying a concealer will do the job,
but you want to correct the area
before anything. Applying just a
concealer you will only highlight
