boring. The other games were completed in their
fifth year and felt fully complete when they ended.
The Sims 4 just doesn't feel the same way at this
point and it's kind of heartbreaking, to be honest.I
think if the developers and EA listened to the
players and just gave them the things they've
been asking for over the years, the game would
already be much better. Things like ladders, bunk
beds, cars, improved babies, more family-
oriented gameplay, overhauled personalities, the
return of NPCs and features from previous games
would improve The Sims 4 significantly. It's great
that the team is trying new things, but at the end
of the day, Simmers just want simple things that
you'd expect to see in a life simulation game! If
they've given us those things, they can feel free to
let their creativity go loose all they want! They also
need to ensure that there are no bugs before
releasing new content for the game.
I don't know if I'm ready for The Sims 5 just yet.
The Sims 4 needs to feel complete and it will take
several years before that happens. I've heard that
EA has plans to make The Sims 5 an online
experience and as an introvert dealing with social
anxiety and having a poor Internet connection at
home, I don't want that.

I love the Gallery and being able to download and
share each other's creations, but that's as far as I
want the game being online to go. I think they
should focus on making the game as best as they
can, learning from the mistakes they made in the
past. If there's no way to play offline, I don't think
I'll actually purchase the game.
There are positive and negative sides to the online
community. It's great that we can connect to other
Simmers who share the love we have for the game
and I've met a lot of incredibly kind people online,
moreso in the SimLit community, but I digress. It's
also great that we can talk openly with the
developers of the game and tell them what we
think about the content they create. The negative
part of the online community is the hate and
unnecessary drama, especially with the EA Game
Changers program. Some Simmers will bully each
other just because they disagree with them and
the Sim Gurus also receive a lot of hate from
dissatisfied players. Sometimes, I really miss the
days before social media was a thing, where
games would just be released and I'd discover
everything for myself. No one needs to surround
themselves in a toxic environment.
