Throughout my years sailing the Galápagos with Silversea, cruise
after cruise, one thing has remained constant: the deep love our
guests feel for our customs and our cuisine. They are curious about
absolutely everything: from the local food to our rich and vibrant
culture, from which ingredients make up our signature dishes to
how to prepare local recipes like our world-famous ceviche.
This is why we made sure Silver Origin provides only the most
authentic culinary experience possible for our guests. And when
we spend time together, we open up to our cultures and enrich the
lives of all of us. Our guests will learn more about the incredible
diversity of both the Galápagos and of Ecuadorian culture, while
gaining in-depth insight into the local flora and fauna and how
they’ve evolved to create this unique ecosystem over time. In the
kitchen, we bring them truly authentic Ecuadorian recipes with
only the freshest local ingredients, all accompanied by the best
in regional wines. And in our live gourmet preparation sessions
and seminars, they experience for themselves how to create and
recreate all the flavors Ecuador and the Galápagos have to offer.
