Keep warm to enjoy the cold weather!
The winter season can be a delightful time of year. There
are many fun ways we can keep warm and enjoy the cold
weather. Here are some suggestions for you to consider:
Cozy up with friends – Engaging in cozy dinners with
friends and family is a nice way to overcome the winter blues.
Keep your gatherings fun by going out to enjoy a buffet
dinner. The great thing about a buffet is that everyone can
have fun trying a wide variety of different foods, and there
is everyone for everyone to enjoy. Mandarin Restaurant’s
award-winning buffet features over 150 different dishes on
their buffet and a casual dining atmosphere that is perfect
for any size of gathering.
Don’t feel like going out? – How about take-out or
delivery? Nothing warms the heart more than the delicious
tastes of hot foods on a cold day – like a warm bowl of
Wonton or Hot & Sour soup, or classic Chicken Noodle
soup. Mandarin also offers a wide range of tasty dishes that
will tempt you to pick up some take-out or have it delivered
– By Shoba Singh
to your door. It’s a great place to satisfy any food craving this
season... in the comfort of your own home!
Keep active! – Don’t let the cold temperatures outside scare
you from staying active. Although the chilly air may tempt
you to cuddle up on the couch in front of the fireplace, one
of the best ways to keep your body heated is to move around.
Begin your day with a few stretches, breathing and warming
poses such as: Chair Pose, Child’s Pose or Downward Facing
Dog. Or maybe you feel like something a little more fast-paced?
JUST DANCE THE COLD AWAY! Make a playlist of your
favourite songs and dance to your heart’s content. Remember,
it’s all about having fun while enjoying the winter! •
The “Child’s Pose” is beneficial
if you have fatigue; releases tension
in the back, shoulders and chest,
flexes the body’s internal organs,
lengthens and stretches the
spine, encourages strong and
steady breathing.
