LET’S BRING BACK
ROMANCE
CONTEST
– By Suzanne Soto-Davies
I want to see your photographs. I want you to show
me in pictures, and writings, how romantic you can be.
Send them to me and I will personally
choose a winner. Read on...
It’s not about your age, and I don’t want to hear “I’m
too old for that” because I won’t have it! If you look up
the word Romance you’ll find: “A feeling of excitement
and mystery associated with love”– a courtship – to woo,
chase, pursue love. Are we still romantic, at any age?
I learned at a very young age that the simplest of gestures
warms the heart. To this day my husband and I leave each
other little love notes written on heart-shaped cut-outs,
and lipstick-notes on the bathroom mirror... It’s romance!
Local entrepreneur Maureen McIntyre (below) couldn’t
find romance novels with age appropriate characters and
story lines for readers over 50, so she wrote her own. At age
75, she just completed publising her second book. This
is not about sex (I don’t care what you do behind closed
doors), it’s about romance, and love. It’s what matters.
What are you doing for your loved ones
this coming Valentine’s Day? Share with me,
and I will give away one of Maureen’s autographed books,
and a box of Baci chocolates. See pag
