corporate initiatives. Now you take your pick!
But back to soup... We are an international country and
Halton/Hamilton regions certainly fit the description more
and more each day. I love it! And so our soup recipes feature
some of our most favourite dishes for this season and ones we
don’t commonly hear about. Hope you try one out!
It’s true: Winter is not my favourite season – with one
exception: Soup!
Late October we held our first “Empowering Women”
workshop and it was very well received. Due to that positive
feedback we’re now presenting our second workshop and one
which I believe fits the bill for all of you en-route to prepare
your taxes. Will you join us this time?
I’m a big fan of soup and I could eat it year round (although
honestly most often I skip summer). Aside from warm and
hearty, soup is incredibly healthy, especially if you are able to
make your own. And if you’ve been following Silver & Gold for
the past few years you would know that we are big supporters
of the Soupfest event in Hamilton. Have you been yet?
Finally, I’d like to thank our awesome advertisers and also
you, our loyal reader, for making this another successful year
for our great little magazine. As the year comes to a close and
another one begins, I hope you will continue to get involved
and be a part of something very special, local, and worthwhile.
Community is what it’s all about!
In putting together the content for this issue, it dawned
on me that we all really need community support. Soupfest
does for sure, but so many others do, and especially at this
time of year.
