Gordon Pape’s article “Fix Canada’s RRIF Rules” and so on.
And through my efforts I have had meetings with Lisa Raitt
(Halton Region MP) and Mike Wallace (Burlington MP),
both who have indicated theiy will be bringing forth this
issue during budget meetings.”
Ms. Olga also adds that the advice she has received is to
reach as many seniors on a national level, as this will have a
stronger impact on affecting positive change by persuading
Ottawa decision-makers.

We need as many people to get involved as possible,” says Ms.
Olga. “We need to try every avenue to get the RIFF message
across to the government. I received a phone call from MP
Terence Young who represents Oakville. I sent him the letter
as well. He stated that he is in agreement with the points
outlined in the letter and is prepared to bring it to Joe Oliver’s
attention as they work on the 2015 budget. The more input
Finance Minister Joe Oliver receives about RIFF change the
more likely he will give RIFF more consideration.” •
