Summer Volunteering T he City of Burlington believes that volunteers are the key to success and the face of our caring community. The City is currently looking for people to join their friendly and energized team of volunteers who offer their skills and friendship on a daily basis. Through city-wide programming, the City of Burlington strives to enable residents 55 years and older to remain vital, healthy and connected to their community. Staying active, learning new things and being social are key to a healthy lifestyle and vibrant community. Volunteers can choose from many opportunities, including: • Festivals and Events: As a great opportunity to give back to the community and meet new people • Individuals with Disabilities: If you have a passion for working with people with disabilities and are looking for a unique experience • Student Theatre: Volunteers are always appreciated to help with stage production, performances, and music • Tyandaga Golf Course: Perfect for people with basic golf knowledge who are comfortable acting as an information resource • Youth Programs: To assist with City-run programs so youth can play and socialize, such as sport, leisure, arts, drama, civic engagement, youth activism and more.
