GARDEN TIPS + TRICKS Matches for peppers Plant a box of matches near your pepper plants, as they like the sulfur and it will help them grow strong! Bleach your cut flowers Add a few drops of regular bleach to the water in order to prevent bacteria growth from forming in your vase. It will keep stems from forming mildew and make them last longer. Sweeter tomatoes Grow sweeter tomatoes by sprinkling the soil (not the plant) with some baking soda, which will counteract with the acidity in the tomatoes, producing sweeter ones. Yum!
