Ingredients
• 2 sticks (226g) unsalted butter
• 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
• 1 1/2 packages (3 1/8 teaspoons) active dry yeast
• 1/2 cup (4oz) warm water (approx. 100°-115°F)
• 2 tablespoons sugar
• 4 cups (480g) all-purpose (“plain”) flour
• 4 large eggs, beaten
• Optional Glaze: 1 egg yolk beaten with
2 tablespoons cream or milk
Instructions
Melt the butter in a small bowl in the microwave oven.
Mix the salt with the melted butter.
