SPRING INTO WELLNESS

O utdoor activities are a great way to keep active, and now
that the weather is getting warmer, you might feel inspired to
make changes to enhance your health. No matter your age,
there are plenty of ways to stay active and have fun this season. your back straight and take deep breaths. Breathe in through
your nose and exhale through your mouth. Incorporating
this technique will help with blood circulation and improve
your health.
Keeping active and relaxation techniques – After the long,
dark winter it’s time to lace up your running shoes. Keeping
active is the key to good health and there is no better way
to explore spring than to head outside for a relaxing walk
around the park, forest or even the local mall. Building good food habits – Spring is the perfect time
to replace those heavy meals that you consumed during
the winter. This spring, try to lighten up your diet with
healthier options. Attempt to incorporate seasonal fruits and
veggies into your diet, along with adjusting your lifestyle
with healthier options and lighter meals. Hydration is also
important to a healthy lifestyle, so drink lots of water to keep
hydrated throughout the day, and enjoy herbal tea, fresh fruit
and vegetable juices. Dehydration is a serious issue, and you
should remember to drink at least eight glasses of water a day.
Walking is one of the best physical activities around. Health
benefits include controlling blood sugar, supporting bone
and heart health, and improved sleep. A peaceful long walk
around the neighbourhood gives us some fresh air along with
keeping our body healthy.
There are many forms of relaxation techniques. Low impact
exercises such as Yoga, Pilates and Tai Chi are a great way to
improve balance, flexibility and increase relaxation. Another
activity that can help with relaxation is meditation. In the
