TIPS + TRICKS – WITH SINGLE SOCKS – By Elizabeth Norm Fact: Your clothes dryer eats socks. Okay, so maybe it doesn’t, but why do we always end up with lonely socks? Don’t throw them out! Unless you don’t mind wearing mismatched socks, here are some tips to using these lonesome socks. DIY soothing oatmeal bath for dry, itchy skin: Stuff a sock or old stocking with oatmeal and tie a knot. When you have a shower or bath, soak it up and the “milk” from the oatmeal will relieve the itch, soothe the skin, and leave it feeling super soft and hydrated. This is a perfect natural remedy for those suffering from bug- bites, chicken pox, even eczema. Potpourri for your drawers: Fill an old sock with potpourri, tie a knot at the end and stick it in a drawer for beautifully scented clothes! Works great in sports shoes and sports bags too!
