SCRIPTING MAGIC BY PETE MCCABE
The book contains essays and interviews with a laser focus on scripting. The book is easy to read and very entertaining.
Perhaps scripting is not the first part that comes to mind when you buy a new trick. But, after reading this book it might be.
Not only does the book explain scripting and presentation principles, and why you should adopt these principles. It also adds examples and variations on a wide variety of tricks. Michael Ammar, Jon Armstrong, Eugene Burger, Max Maven, Vic Sussman, Jamy Ian Swiss, Teller and many others are sharing their thoughts on presentation. Studying these fine performers and how they think about their magic is educating. Scripting Magic contains definitely something for everyone.
Unfortunately, the book is out of stock in a lot of places, but when you find it- buy it!

PANIC BY AARON FISCHER
The Effect: You show the 4 kings and put them in your pocket. You then show a full deck in your hand. With no sleight of hand or funny moves, the kings are back in your hand and you produce a full deck from your pocket.
Difficult rating: Very easy to do.
Verdict: This is a great trick. Packs small, plays big. There is some cleanup to do, but for a strolling performer the cleanup can easily be done walking to the next group. The gimmicks are well made and will last for a long time. I actually do this in front of the mirror and fool myself.
