Truth vs. Truthiness

Truth: Cheryl Araujo was gang raped in a bar by four men.

Truthiness: Cheryl Aruajo was a drunk woman who was dressed provocatively and “Looking for it”

Truth: Cheryl Araujo was a Portuguese woman happily living with her high school sweetheart and two children; she left to the bar to buy cigarettes.

Truthiness: Cheryl Araujo was a white woman living with her white trash boyfriend, and left to the bar after a fight with him.

Truth: Two brothers saw Cheryl Araujo outside the gas station after the rape, and helped her too safety. They did not testify against the “onlookers” in court

Truthiness: A young college male watched Cheryl get raped and then proceeded to call the police. He later testified in court.

Truth: Four Portuguese men raped the Portuguese Cheryl Araujo

Truthiness: Four white men raped the white Cheryl Araujo

Truth: The three attackers were convicted of Aggravated Rape and served sentences of six and a half years.

Truthiness: The three attackers were only charged with Reckless Endangerment.
