Is your team interested in developing an interprofessional education curriculum related to palliative care ?
The University of Louisville Interdisciplinary Program for Palliative Care and Chronic Illness has received funding to assist faculty teams in their efforts to develop such curricula and teaching activities . This national training program , iPEX ( InterProfessional Education eXchange ), offers training , mentoring and resources to selected teams . Teams selected in 2018 and 2019 found the mentoring and workshop beneficial and are already making progress on the projects they developed .
You are invited to form a team and apply for this national training program . Funded by the National Cancer Institute ( R25CA203637 ), iPEX has research components and IRB approval . Participants will be involved in a series of webinars , attend a skill development workshop and will receive mentoring from an experienced faculty team . Grant funds will cover all materials as well as most travel , housing and some meals . Eight to 10 interprofessional teams of 3-5 health science faculty will be selected for 2022 . Application is now open through October 31 , 2021 or until enrollment limits are reached .

Northwestern Virtual Professional Development Workshop ( PDW ) Friday , July 9 , 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM CST
The EPEC Professional Development Workshop ( PDW ) is a one-day virtual conference that focuses on “ teaching about teaching .” The day will begin with brief didactic presentations on three core teaching approaches ( interactive lectures , small group teaching and role play ) that are used in the EPEC program and many other teaching settings . Following these presentations , participants will have the opportunity to practice and get feedback using these three approaches . Throughout , we will consider relevance to virtual and in-person teaching . The small groups in this conference will have a maximum of 10 participants .
This workshop is open to all EPEC Trainers and others , of any discipline , who wish to improve their teaching techniques . To register please go to their website by clicking
