WELCOME TO THE NEW SIGNAGE P recisely 17 months ago we promised we will be deciding what news or industry information is and how it is presented to you, based on the simple truth, we also said we will endeavor to inform you on a broader context, champion un-bias true events and facts, be the moral enemy of speculation and nonsense. Yes we have been hard at work, we had broken News and told stories that would never be found anywhere aside on our pages. We have also had our ups and down, mostly as a startup trying to break the status quo. We had met with stone walls in some quarters and received well in others: all in all it has been a very tremendous journey. Going forward as a media brand, with better access to and understanding of the outdoor advertising landscape than anyone – which is our bias. It is time for us to widen our scope, tell the story through our impeccable taste for pretty design, prints –yes we are introducing our print version starting with the independence (October) edition and our strategic understanding of what it is to translate an idea into a multiplatform news and information tool. This change will reflect through our coverage and cover stories, either on our website, prints or digital platforms In this issue we will be looking at History of Billboard advertising legislation and policies around the world and bring it home to how it affect the industry here in Nigeria. this will enable us bring to the fore front issues of legislation in our subsequent editions We would also be introducing some other new component into the mix, starting with this edition, giving importance to what is important.
