Brochures Cover design Layout elements Our brochure front covers always incorporate the same layout elements: 1 1 The logo?/?layer form The logo?/?layer form is a combined design element. (The file contains the layer, logo and bleed.) It must be used in a specifically defined size in each of our standard formats. See the chapter “Design elements” 2 Image area Specific minimum and maximum heights have been defined for the image area in each of our standard formats. These heights are predefined in our InDesign templates. The area may contain a multipicture, a dealer information field or an eye-catcher, for example, depending on the brochure type. See the chapter “Eye-catchers” 4 5 5 Transparent layer This is the most prominent element in our new corporate design. It aligns on the left with a preset guide in the template. The layer has two parts: Big bar The large transparent area in the primary color Siemens Stone contains the headline and subhead, both of which can consist of one or two lines. Small bar The narrow area in a solid Siemens accent color or Siemens Stone contains a one-line URL.
