Cover design
Layout elements
Our brochure front covers always incorporate
the same layout elements:
1
1
The logo?/?layer form
The logo?/?layer form is a combined design
element. (The file contains the layer,
logo and bleed.) It must be used in a
specifically defined size in each of our
standard formats.
See the chapter “Design elements”
2
Image area
Specific minimum and maximum heights
have been defined for the image area
in each of our standard formats. These
heights are predefined in our InDesign
templates.

White area
The height of the white area depends on
the objects that are placed in it. The area
may contain a multipicture, a dealer information field or an eye-catcher, for example, depending on the brochure type.

Transparent layer
This is the most prominent element in our
new corporate design. It aligns on the
left with a preset guide in the template.
The layer has two parts:
Big bar
The large transparent area in the primary
color Siemens Stone contains the headline
and subhead, both of which can consist
of one or two lines.
Small bar
The narrow area in a solid Siemens accent
color or Siemens Stone contains a one-line
URL.

Tagline
In brochures, the tagline is always in the
lower right corner of the layout.
