"Dan O'connor, born 1973 in Rahway NJ, never formally trained in any school , but started drawing the funnys in the news paper with his mother. She then gave him a set of oils and let him at it. Creating nothing but mud his first 100 tries, he then watched Bob Ross on channel 13 PBS for Kis, and watched and watched until he started creating his own landsacapes. Rough around the edges, and not patient he gave up on oils.
After taking a fifteen year break, then facing some trials and tribulations and some of lifes unexpected tragedies in 1999, he picked up his brushes with a new vigor and zest for life and art. a passion that has satyed with him since.
His style is diverse and not consistent, but explores many different styles with his own insight and eye for color and fun energetic paintings....... his ever changing style is what he calls his niche, he chooses to not be drawn to one style or range but to explore , like a true Gemini from one to the next and finding new experiences to drive his art. he never looked to do anything but paint and be able to continue his love and passion for art.... a true lover of nature and lifes mysteries come follow him as he evolves..."
