Unite an inbridled passion for Roman history and powerfull metalmusic, and you get EX DEO. With THE IMMORTAL WARS, you are dropped dead centre in the ages where Hannibal crossed the alps and Rome was still the immortal city it had been for centuries.
You will know EX DEO is the side project of KATAKLYSM. The sound is not that different. Maybe it al has been pumped up to an even more epic level, but the style is recognisable. THE IMMORTAL WARS offers you some epic war tales, melodic death metal riffs and orchestral anthems that will help raise your fist in any moshpit. As if you were fighting of an illustrous enemy in front of you. I wouldn't be surprised if tracks of this album would turn up in the scores of a holywood movie. Maybe BRAD PIT could once more dress up as war lord, and send some more legions to a certain dead. I know EX DEO has the skill to support them on a musical level.
And oh... When you play this at home, hang up a sign at your front door: "animals you hear are not real"... Animal control may come looking for elefants.
Just because heroism should be rewarded, and this is a solid disk of course, I grant THE IMMORTAL WARS a 8,6/10 medal.

Boots strapped thightly around your feet. Tank filled to the brim. Crank up that shovelhead and hit the road. Helmet optional.
In a world where roads are layed down for bikers to explore, ZOMBIE MOTORS WRECKING YARD lays down a perfect soundtrack for those miles ahead. These Aussies have just released their debut fillercap SUPERSONIC ROCK'N ROLL.
If you love ZZ TOP, BLACK LABEL SOCIETY or RED FANG, you're gonna love this. If greasy, sleezy guitars are your thing, you should be running to you CD-dealer. This album is just a great example of old school rock, revisited by some skilled brothers.
If anyone would have to write a soundtrack to a post-apocalyptic world, he might be out of a job already. Because this album just sounds so old school and futurisctic at the same time, it could be played on repeat for ever, through the only remaining radiostation in the world. That's it guys... Keep blasting my speakers with this album. See what will break down first. My speakers or your CD player.
For giving me a great time, nothing less then a 8,8/10 should be awarded to SUPERSONIC ROCK'N ROLL
