The population of this animal distributed widely in South East Europe, South Asia, South West Asia and South East Asia. This jackal is smaller animal. They have short legs, short tail, mideum hight, less prominent forehead, pointed muzzle. The Golden Jackal vary in color creamy yellow in summer and dark tawny in winter. They are founds in habitant at valleys, besides of rivers, lakes, canales and sea- shores. They are rare in hills and mountains. The golden jackal is similar animal to the gray wolf but is smaller than gray wolf, light weight, shorter legs, short tail, less prominent forehead and a pointed muzzle that is narrow- er. The legs are long in relationship with its body, and the feet are slender with small pads. Males are longer 30 to 35 inches in body length while females are 25 to 30 inches longer in body length. Weight of males is around 5 to 15 kilograms while females are light weight than males and weight is around 6 to 12 kilograms. The height at shoulder for both is around 17 to 20 inches. The golden jackal is a less specialized species than the gray wolf. The diet of golden jack- als are carrion, rodents, fruit, insects, small birds,  small vertebrates, and some vegetable. Fur of the golden jackals are coarse and relatively short, varying seasonally from a pale creamy yellow in summer to a dark tawny in winter with based color of golden. The fur on the back is com- posed with black, brown and white colored hairs. The underparts of Golden Jackals are a light gin- ger to cream color. The Golden Jackals are social animal that mostly finding in group. They mostly seems in pair of 2 or 3 and sometimes 5 members in a group.
