Taekwondo
GM Chess Academy- Intermediate

The curriculum focuses on personal achievement without
competition, and importance is placed on students’ effort not their
ability. In addition to learning the physical skills of Taekwondo,
students will learn martial arts etiquette, rules, and regulations
(discipline), Korean terminology, and visualization. Classroom
achievements, both physically and mentally, help students form a
positive self-image (self-esteem) while training in a structured and
positive atmosphere, devoid of the fear of losing and allows the
development of assertiveness, not aggression. Students will be
eligible to promote to the rank of Yellow Belt with the completion of
an essay entitled ‘What is your motivation to study Taekwondo? For

During this class, experienced players learn essential strategies and
tactics necessary for successful, winning chess. Our instructor, Grand
Master Vladimir Georgiev, has years of experience teaching
scholastic chess. He has coached a Woman World Champion,
Antoaneta Stefanova, and currently coaches a number of students who
qualify for the Youth World Chess Championship. He uses an
entertaining and challenging question and answer format to encourage
children to participate and form their own ideas.
Guitar Lessons

Grades: 1 st – 8 th
Dates: Fridays, September 14 – October 19
(6 weeks)
Time: Lessons are offered from 2:30-6 p.m.
Fees: 30 minute lessons - $282 / 45 minute lessons - $372
GM Chess Academy- Beginners

Grades: Kindergarten, 1 st , 2 nd , 3 rd , 4 th & 5 th
Dates: Fridays, September 14 – December 7 (11 weeks)
Time: 2:45 – 3:45 p.m.

Minimum Enrollment: 10; Maximum Enrollment: 20
For beginners we teach a short instructional lesson each week using
games and stories to display the most fundamental chess concepts like
piece movement, rules of the game, and basic strategic play. After
each lesson the students play a specific position from both sides to
reinforce the concepts discussed in class.
NOTE: In order to register for 30 or 45 minute private lessons,

Private guitar lessons offered to beginner through intermediate levels.
Beginners will learn the essential open chords and basic strumming
patterns, as well as note-reading to build a foundation for music. For
those who have previous experience, they will elevate their guitar
playing by learning barre chords, basic lead guitar techniques,
continued note-reading, tablature, fingerstyle guitar, creative
songwriting and more.
Students will need their own guitar.
