Dear Friends
Welcome to our very first Durga Puja Celebrations by the
Assamese Community of Bangalore. On this auspicious and
special occasion of the year, I would like to wish all of you a
Joyous Durga Puja. During Puja, we all will come under one roof
for Ma Durga’s blessing, bringing together people from different
faith, language, religion and customs just like Ma Durga’s
different avatars.
Alongside with the worship of Ma Durga, we attempt at recreating the same experience as we had back home in Assam.
We as a community, hold a vision of coming together every year
to celebrate and seek the blessing of Ma Durga. Here in
Bangalore, we want to produce the same energy and environment
so that even our younger generation growing up here know about
our culture and feel at home.
It would be my pleasure to take this opportunity to congratulate
the founding members of the Durga Puja committee. Our
committee is working towards integrating our community and
culture in the multicultural society. We believe in harmony. We
invite guests from different faiths and communities and share
the joy of celebrations. This creates a friendly society got our
future generations. The members and volunteers have work
