Davis (Jake Gyllenhahl), a successful investment banker, struggles after losing his wife in a tragic car
crash. Despite pressure from his father in law Phil (Chris Cooper) to pull it together, Davis continues to
unravel. What starts as a complaint letter to a vending machine company turns into a series of letters
revealing startling personal admissions. Davis’ letters catch the attention of customer service rep Karen
(Naomi Watts) and, amidst emotional and financial burdens of her own, the two form an unlikely connection. With the help of Karen and her son Chris (Judah Lewis), Davis starts to rebuild, beginning with the
demolition of the life he once knew.
Marketing/Promotion: The film’s plot can serve as fodder for TV and radio talk shows about how people
deal with tragedy. Another topic, and one that can be used on social media too, is about unusual ways
couples have met in life. Advertising can spotlight positive reviews and critical buzz the movie generates. Focus on discerning filmgoers looking for a more adult movie experience. It premiered at the 2015

From visionary filmmakers Jonas Cuaron, and Alfonso Cuaron, who brought audiences the highly-acclaimed Gravity, comes
a visceral, heart-pounding action-thriller packed with tension and suspense from start to finish, starring Gael GarcIa Bernal
(The Motorcycle Diaries and Y Tu Mama Tambien) and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Watchmen). What begins as a hopeful journey
to seek a better life becomes a harrowing and primal fight for survival when a deranged, rifle-toting vigilante chases a group
of unarmed men and women through the treacherous U.S.-Mexican border. In the harsh, unforgiving desert terrain, the odds
are stacked firmly against them as they continuously discover there’s nowhere to hide from the unrelenting, merciless killer.

point during the 2016 presidential race. Highlight the involvement of producer Alfonso Cuaron (Gravity, Children of Men).
