Sitting out in the open has left me vulnerable and exposed to those around me, especially a group of colleagues who have been for an Indian the night before. The use of an oxygen mask is something that is standard practice high up on Everest, and can be adapted for the office.
Due to the busy nature of agency life I’ ve fallen behind schedule, but nothing comes before getting the job done, not even a pee!
The day is getting on and I still haven’ t found a moment’ s peace. Do not panic in this situation, simply block out the distraction with a good pair of headphones. If a meeting is still distracting you, relocate and establish a base camp to work away from anyone else.
The office environment has started to take its toll and I’ m running low on energy. During my 110-day voyage across the Atlantic I ran out of food 230 miles from Antigua. I found out what it was like to be truly starving. I didn’ t have the luxury of a vending machine, but when you’ re truly starving you need to do what you have to, to get through the day.
