ONE THING ABOUT YOU MOST PEOPLE WOULD NEVER GUESS: I am a massive bookworm and am extremely interested in genetics. Also, reading with my boys is one of my greatest joys ever.
FAVORITE INDULGENCE: Massages. Nothing is better than a nice, deep tissue massage after a long day in heels or carrying around a very solidly built toddler.
HOBBIES: Reading, painting, traveling.
LOVES: Watching my boys grow, learn and transform into these wonderful little people. Exploring faraway places and ancient cities. Getting together with a great team to conceptualize off the wall shoots. Witnessing other people’s hard work pay off for them.
FEARS: Aside from failure, I have a weird fear of raw meat not being prepared properly. If it weren’t for restaurants, frozen meals and some help from family, my sons and I would be vegetarian by default.
PET PEEVES: 1) When people who are not putting in much effort complain that their careers are not gaining momentum. 2) When someone diminishes the hard work of others by saying their success is just “luck.”
BEST TIP FOR STAYING LEAN: Eliminate soda from your diet completely. I only drink water and Green Tea.
HIGHLIGHTS OF CAREER TO-DATE: Teen Vogue editorials I did years ago, a shoot for Vogue Espana, as well as getting to play a “Taste the Rainbow” fairy in a Skittles commercial. I also made the cover of Graftobian Makeup Catalog for 2011/2012 and that end result helped me realize that I can pull off the grown woman look. More recently, I had a huge opportunity to walk for Hester Wernert-Rijn for Wella.
ADVICE FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO SUCCEED IN MODELING:
You have two ears and one mouth for a reason. Learn to listen, pay attention and remember the important things. And have faith in yourself. The more confident you are the more positive you will feel and your positive energy will then create positive energy all around you. Others will pick up on it. It’s the self fulfilling prophecy.
