Christoph Girardet is a leading German short film artist. He primarily employs the found footage technique in his works, based on materials from the ' 50s and ' 60s period. His works are a blend of elements taken from his productions, Hollywood cinema, advertisements and scientific film archives. His interests oscillate around perception, identity and memory. He often collaborates with Matthias Müller on his projects. The program is a retrospective of most interesting works from Girardet’ s nearly twenty year career and illustrates his cinematic search and artistic development.
