If you ’ re a real golfer like me , your golf entertainment consists of only a few things . 1 . Videos of shitty golfers 2 . That plastic snake you put down to scare the bejesus out of someone 3 . All the excellent entertainment on the new Short Par 4 App was carefully crafted for your viewing pleasure and 4 . Trickshots .

I love trick shots . And to be fair , not only golf any trick shots , Crazy sports tricks , frisbees flying everywhere , basketball shots from tall buildings . You name it , and it has blessed my screen at some point or another .

But golf has explicitly just that extra little soft spot that none of the other sports can only come close too .

I happen to meet Rusty at a team event couple of years ago . He already had some followers , but I didn ’ t know much about him personally or professionally . After spending a weekend playing golf and doing what degenerate 20 / 30 something-year-olds do on golf trips , we became friends , and I got to meet one of the most unique and talented people I ’ ve ever had the pleasure of meeting .

Now when you usually talk about trickshot artists , you fall into two categories . Category one is the golfer who can appreciate what these guys are doing and enjoy the entertainment they provide . Or Category two the dicks who say get a real job , I can do this , this is stupid .

And to be honest , for a while , I was leaning towards category two . I ’ m an a-okay golfer , and the wannabe athlete in me was convinced that with a little bit of time and persistence , I could be at these guys level in no time .

Well , let me tell you something . Boy , was I wrong ? I met Rusty out at his home course to learn more about this jewel of a guy , where he has come from , and what is next for this one o king champ .
