Jalma farms is the largest grower of Beach Plum
and Black Aronia Berry on the East Coast. Aronia
Berry is considered America's Native Super Fruit. They make their
harvested fruits into delicious jam and syrups.
Both of these plants grow in the Northeast region of the United States and they're known for their erosion control qualities. Beach Plum helps prevent dune loss and the Black Aronia is used for inland for soil stabilization. Both are used for wildlife habitat restoration and Jana Farms is proud to supply and donate thousands of plants for these purposes.
Jana Farms is 130 acre family farm in Cape May County
that has been continuously farmed for over 325 years
. It is currently owned by John and Elma George. They
are fifth direct generation on the farm. Alma's great,
great grandfather was a founding member of the first
secretary of the Cape May County Board of agriculture.
They are proud to continue his farming tradition, growing
sustainable native fruits while preserving open space and
wetlands.
All of their products are made using all natural
ingredients with more fruit than sugar. Their products
are gluten-free, dairy free, GMO free, artificial
ingredients free, and preservative free.
