550 Cord and You is the brain-child of a retired Special Education teacher and her son, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. "I was looking for ways to stay busy and have always enjoyed doing crafts. I knew my son made bracelets and keychains out of Parachute cord for his friends and family; a skill he learned while still in the Marines." Everyone seemed to really like what they were doing so they decided to create a company and see where it goes. 550 Cord and You was born and has been pleasing customers ever since.
