Otto Martin Valentine Jensch

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Otto Martin Valentine Jensch, who passed away on June 4, 2025, at the age of 76.
A longtime resident of Punta Gorda, Florida, Otto previously made his home in Cape May Beach, New Jersey, where he spent many meaningful years and left a lasting mark on the community.
Otto was the co-founder of Shoppe, the Cape May County Shoppers Guide, where he dedicated the past 45 years to connecting buyers and sellers across the region. Known affectionately as“ Mr. Shoppe,” Otto’ s legacy lives on not only in the countless relationships built through the publication, but also in the unforgettable sketch of him that appeared in every weekly issue— a cheerful, bow-tied caricature that became a beloved symbol in local households.
Beyond his professional achievements, Otto lived life fully and with style. He loved spending time with family and friends— especially while sharing a good meal, traveling to new places, boating along the water, or taking to the skies. A lifelong reader and curious thinker, Otto had a deep appreciation for knowledge, conversation, and culture. He also had a passion for German cars and a keen eye for the finer things in life, enjoying them with both joy and gratitude.
Otto is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine Jensch; his brother, Peter Jensch; and his sister, Eva Jensch. He is also survived by his stepdaughters: Kimberly Snedaker, Michelle Snedaker, Alisha Owens, and Stacey Sherretta Bok. His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Randy Alexander Pomykacz, Jordan Evans, Jake Bok, and Zoe Bok.
