YOLANDA FYRUS
Yolanda Fyrus, a passionate Singer, also a versatile vocalist when it comes to different Genres. From house, Kwaito, HipHop / Rap, Rock, AfricanJazz and XiFi( combination of electro & pop music etc). When she’ s not performing around the Country or in Africa. She’ s doing some Songwriting with her golden magic wand, that flows ideas like ink melting to connect words between the lines of music.
She’ s currently working on a EP called House Experience with a local Producer WiseCadence. Watch this space, two Songs titled“ Don’ t Let Go” and“ Amalobola” that will be out on the 29th October 2016. Above mentioned Songs will be compiled on an upcoming Album called“ Casa da Vida” by Sivuyile Lehoko know by his stage name as WiseCadence.
There’ s a Music Video shoot on the way based on the Song titled“ Amalobola” which will be out early 2017. Early this year 2016 she worked on EP“ Inzonzobila” Recorded at Redbull Studio and licensed to RedBull Media House in Cape Town. Included are following list of Songs: 01. Sibongile, 02. Tata and 03. Zakhala.
She also worked on a Song titled“ Izolo” featured by Spoek Mathambo and produced by Eric Manyelo, which can be expected late this year of 2016 Yolanda Fyrus and Spoek Mathambo they are well know by the Hit Song“ Mshini Wam”. Recorded at RedbullStudio by Richard Rumney and Jake Lipman. She’ s currently working on an EP called“ Gitala( Guitar)” which might be expected early next year 2017. It will be a mixture of African Jazz, Electro and Reggie. Further, Yolanda was part of the Red Bull Base Camp Music Academy in 2013.
Yolanda Fyrus Xashi by full name hails from King Williams Town in the Eastern Cape. She’ s been in the music industry live performing scenes like Rocking The Daisies. Redbull Street Style world championship, Brickfield. Music Festival and also at MTN BushFire Festival to make few.
Concerts and artists she has worked with include the likes of Spoek Mathambo. Did collaboration on“ Mshini Wam”, Gwababa at Rocking the Daises Festival in 2014. Also at the World Cape Town Music Festival in 2011 and at various Clubs around the Country. In addition She formed part of Future Sounds of Mzansi Part 2 Documentary with Spoek Mathambo( available on YouTube). And Shoot Music Video on a song“ War on Words” and“ Gwababa”( Available on YouTube).
She was part of performing artists along with Gazelle Band at clubs like Assembly, Dunes in Hout Bay, Taleberg Tarven, Design Indaba Festival in 2009, Red Bull World Street Style Champion in 2010. Traveled to KalahariSafari Tour from Cape Town, Bloemfontein,
Pretoria and Durban 2011 in part with Gazelle Band Artist. They also performed at the MK awards in Johannesburg 2011. And Shoot music Video on a song“ Chic Afrique”( available on YouTube).
She has worked with artists like Mizz, Chumza Ceke, Deepconsoul. She is inspired by the likes of Mariam Makeba, Busi Mhlongo, Brenda Fassie and shared a stage with Oliver Mtukudzi and a host of other legendary musicians.
